Fee: $275 for 45-minute session, payment is collected at time of service.

Dr. LaPiana is an “out-of-network” provider for all insurance companies. As a courtesy, claims are submitted directly to your insurance company by our office when requested. However, it is up to you to understand your benefits and coverage. Here are some important questions to ask in understanding your coverage:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

• What is my deductible and has it been met?

• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

• Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Therapy can be short-term to address immediate crisis or challenges or can take some time to understand a history of recurring patterns or problems. The therapist-patient relationship is an important part of feeling safe, understood, and appropriately challenged.
